A meetup for businesses looking to make positive change for people and planet
The global green economy is growing. Entrepreneurs around the world are creating businesses driven by a passion and a purpose to make a difference. Individually they may be small, but together they can have a huge impact on people, place and planet.
This meetup is for these businesses - the small enterprises and startups trying to make the big difference. Based on our popular startup networking and 'Ideas and Beers' sessions, we'll be providing some enterprise insights, discussions on the wider sector, as well as a chance for attendees to share their own reflections and sound out ideas.
We know being a business owner is challenging and getting your enterprise up-and-running can be difficult, especially when you're driven by a passion to make a difference. So we're here to help, free of charge, giving you the opportunity to access new businesses, extend your network, tap into business know-how, in an easy and accessible format.
How's the session run?
The hour is generally split into 3 parts, and is expertly facilitated by our Solvers Studio community.
Part 1 - Setting the Scene: following some short introductions, we'll be sharing some latest insights from the sector. This could be a short case study, findings from important research, emerging trends or collaboration and funding opportunities.
Part 2 - Tackling the Challenge: a focus on up to 2 business challenges raised by fellow business owners. These can be responded to by attendees, but will be captured and shared with the wider Solvers Studio collective to provide some guidance.
Part 3 - Seizing the Moment: the chance for everyone to get to know each other, ask questions, share what they're up to, and market any relevant upcoming events or activities. This is the opportunity to make new connections and partnerships, or just to find that someone you never knew you needed.
Who is it for?
This is for anyone who runs their own small or startup business whose products and services are all about making a positive impact on the planet. If your business mission has the words 'green', 'eco' and 'sustainability' in it, then chances are this means you. Whether you've got a hi-tech product that will revolutionise the energy sector, or an education programme to teach children about recycling, and anything in-between, if your venture exists to tackle the climate crisis, this is the session for you.
We welcome people from around the UK and beyond* - we want to support you wherever you are. If you're looking to connect with like-minded businesses, extend your network, get help and feedback on your business challenges, or simply want to hear from others to help shape your own thinking, our Sustainable Solvers meetup could be what you're looking for.
*Note: our sessions are in English
